I just got back from my second cruise with Carnival last week, and I couldn’t wait one more second to tell you all about it! If you are considering a cruise in your future, you’ve got to check out a “Fun Ship“! This is the first in a series I’m going to do on the subject. In this post I’ll be sharing why you should #ChooseFun and my top must-haves for your Carnival Cruise.

Carnival Cruise Ship Daytime Fun
There is so much fun to be had on every Carnival ship! This cruise was on Carnival Paradise, and we traveled from Tampa, Florida to Cozumel and Grand Cayman. (I’ve also written about my experience on Carnival Inspiration.)
The length of your cruise determines how many days at sea you enjoy. Personally, the days at sea are my favorite. In my experience they’re the most relaxing, and when I’m relaxed I am usually having a lot more fun. On this cruise, we spent part of those days in our conference and the rest of them enjoying the ship. We went swimming, enjoyed drinks by the pool (try the “Kiss on the Lips!”)… we even checked out the water slides. I was a bit intimidated by the bigger slide but there was really nothing to be afraid of! I had so much fun shooting myself down the shorter slides, time and time again. The Lido Deck is poppin’ during the day! Enjoy live entertainment and jubilation. For something a bit tamer, you could get a massage in the spa or enjoy peace and quiet on the adults-only Serenity deck.
Carnival Cruise Ship Nightlife
Of course, day or night, you could spend time in the casino until your hearts content. During this trip I didn’t hit the casino, but I had so much fun there on my last cruise. (I even ended up doubling my money, which was really exciting!)
There are also so many entertaining shows at night, such as comedy, musicals, and variety shows. There are lounges to enjoy live music. We had SO much fun at the Rex Nightclub! Nearly every night our group could be found there having the best time, drinking and dancing!
Carnival Cruise Port of Call Excursions
When you’re checking out the various cruises that Carnival offers, you’ll want to pay close attention to the port of calls. It was so exciting for me to get to experience a little of Grand Cayman on this trip, as I had never been! Carnival will share thorough excursion information if you want to do any of those. Excursions include things like swimming with sea turtles, getting up-close-and-personal with sting rays, scuba diving, and more. In Grand Cayman, we settled on a relaxing day at the 7 Mile Beach Club and lunch. We opted out of an excursion entirely in Cozumel. We just explored and found ourselves a margarita! Keep in mind that you don’t have an extensive amount of time at your various destinations. It’s completely up to you if you get off the ship at all. You’re welcome to stay onboard and enjoy the amenities (and slightly less crowds)!

Ultima Replenisher Electrolyte Hydration Powder
This is an absolutely MUST-HAVE for me! My sister turned it on to me during our cruise a couple weeks prior. I had a terrible experience with a Charley Horse on the first night. She had brought these electrolyte hydration powder sticks with her and from then on I had one every day (in addition to a banana for potassium). I love that there is no sugar or other icky additives. They taste great too! I ended up buying this variety pack so that I could change it up from day to do. These will be great as we get into warmer weather as well!
Universal Waterproof Cellphone Pouch
This waterproof cellphone pouch is a steal, at under $10! We use them on every vacation involving water. Check out this fun TikTok video I made with it on the waterslide on Carnival Paradise!

I will never stop sharing my love for packing cubes!! There are many options but this is a very affordable set of 5 cubes in various sizes. We have two sets currently. I am going to do another post on how exactly I pack!
Choose Fun with Carnival
If you’re looking to have a lot of fun with your friends or family, I highly recommend planning a Carnival cruise! There are so many ships and destinations to choose from. I am already planning my next one!
