1. Get chalk.
2. Throw party.
Seriously, it’s that simple. And cheap. It cost me $10 to entertain 6 toddlers for over an hour, and there is plenty of life left in this chalk to go another few rounds at least. It helps if there is shade and a breeze, especially if it’s in the 90’s plus! I chose a park near our home that has a covered pavilion, to set up in. In addition to chalk I brought bubble wands, picnic blankets, and some toys to play with on the field. Everyone brought their own picnic lunch but you could treat your friends to a simple summer menu or do it potluck style. All our kids were 2.5 and younger but sidewalk chalk is fun for all ages!
