What is a Boo Basket?
A “Boo Basket” can be larger like an Easter Basket, but Halloween themed, or just a small treat that is delivered to neighbors and friends. Once delivered, it is said that the recipient has been “booed”. Boo Baskets are filled with candy, treats, toys and other themed trinkets.

Britni at Play Party Plan has a great overview on Boo Baskets and the art of “boo-ing” someone. In addition she has some cute printables and fun ideas for what to include in your Halloween basket.

How to Create a Halloween Boo Basket
Creating a Boo Basket is as simple as choosing a container and filling it with Halloween themed treats. You could choose simply Halloween theme or go further by choosing an even narrower theme like Harry Potter, Nightmare Before Christmas or Disney. Use your imagination and the inspiration found here to create fun Halloween gifts for friends, kids and neighbors.

I personally love to hunt for items at the Target Dollar Spot and Dollar Tree to include in Boo Baskets. You can pick up coloring books, erasers, mini pumpkins and all sorts of themed goodies as well as candy to include. In addition, I like to try to include some more special, last items.
