This was a sponsored visit. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
It’s Memorial Day Weekend—the unofficial kick-off of summer! We started the fun a week early with a visit to Great Wolf Lodge in Atlanta/LaGrange. We live 20 miles north of Atlanta, so the drive took us about 1.5 hours. Great Wolf Lodge is a great family day trip or staycation option for us, but their new Summer Camp-In program has us wanting to stay for longer!

From Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, Great Wolf Lodge will celebrate the joys of camping with special activities and events through its new Summer Camp-In. This will include arts and crafts, family field games, campfire sing-alongs, summer camp story time, “camp cuisine” and more.

We had such a great time, that we’re already talking about visiting again this summer with friends that are coming to see us. Here are a few tips and things to know before your visit:
- If your location has an obstacle course and/or rock climbing wall, be sure your child has closed-toed shoes to wear. This is a non-negotiable.
- If you’re visiting on a Day Pass, be sure to bring your own towels, as there is not a towel rental service available. (There are towels available for purchase.) Note that outside food and drink is not permitted.
- There are lockers available. We rented the Jumbo size for $18/day and it was more than enough room for all our belongings.
Did I mention that our trip came as a complete SURPRISE to our son? Check out Benjamin’s funny response and all the fun we had, in this quick video!
