One of the best things about visiting a Disney Park, is the FOOD! Disney is known for unveiling new and seasonal treats for the holidays, and I for one, cannot wait for our visit at Christmastime this year to seek out some of these mouthwatering treats! If you’re headed to Disneyland at Christmas or Disney’s California Adventure, here is the ultimate list of of holiday treats to eat… and Instagram in 2019!

Holiday Treats at Disneyland
Disney fans look forward to seeing what new churro flavors will make it on the menu, and this year’s lineup offers a Toffee Churro (Tomorrowland Churro Cart, Santa’s Cookies & Milk Churro (near Casey Jr.) and the Town Square Churro Cart is offering up a Coconut & Caramel Churro. Frontierland is offering up a Turtle Churro and the most unique offering is the plum colored Sugar Plum Churro in New Orleans Square. While this one is quite Insta-worthy, we understand that the taste leaves something to be desired. Churros are a must-have though, even if it’s the original!
The Carnation Cafe takes a leap back in time and offers up a Fried Bologna Sandwich (hmmm) and a Pork Chop TV Dinner complete with sectioned serving tray.
I think I’ll stick with the Peppermint Holiday Sundae available at every Disney lover’s favorite ice cream shop.. Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. This pink Peppermint ice cream confection is topped with chocolate sauce and crushed peppermint sticks. YUM!
Also find these holiday treats at Candy Palace on Main Street.
The Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe is serving up a scrumptious looking Thanks-Mas Sandwich with all the yummy holiday fixins: turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and gravy on toasted bread. In addition, you’ll be able to get Butternut Squash soup, adorable Santa’s Hat Macarons, and Snowman Shortbread Cookies.
This year’s sweets line up in over the top:
Jolly Holiday Eggnog Latte Cheesecake — Yum!
The Holiday Brownie topped with white chocolate mousse and sprinkles — OMGoodness…
And The Holiday Cupcake (an IG fave.) is vanilla bean cupcake filled with red and green chocolate pieces and finished with green and white swirled white chocolate mousse, and chocolate swirl candy pieces. YES PLEASE!
And no holiday visit would be complete without the Mickey Gingerbread Man or the returning and very festive, Holiday Strawberry Linzer Cookie.
Some foodies swear by Disneyland’s Yule Log desserts. 2019 offers up Raspberry Mascarpone Yule Log, and believe me when I say I am down to try this tasty treat that features vanilla sponge cake wrapped with raspberry marmalade and mascarpone filling, topped with buttercream ganache and chocolate curls.
In addition, the Plaza Inn is offering up a beautiful Christmas Cake that features chocolate sponge cake with red, green, and white swirled chocolate mousse filling topped with buttercream and finished with sprinkles and an ADORABLE Christmas Bundt Cake which will make an appearance Dec, 1.
Head over to the Galactic Grill for a Caramel Pecan Brownie Parfait, Apple Pie Slush and topping my list— the Nova Coffee Slush, which is a chocolate mint flavored coffee slush.
The Green Alien Holiday Macarons will be available at Alien Pizza Planet again this year. They are seriously THE CUTEST but you can also get an Alpha Broccolius Parfait, made with layers of soft mint ganache, green cake, white chocolate mousse, cookies and cream streusel, and whipped topping. Fun!
If you are a lover of Mexican Food like me, you’ll want to stop into Rancho Del Zocalo for the tasty looking Chicken Mole or a steaming bowl of Caldo Pollo. In addition they have a yummy Champurrado with Churro Bites, which is a traditional style Mexican Hot Chocolate with churros! MMMmmm!
If you feel like having something cooler try the Frozen Abuelita Hot Chocolate which is coming back this year.
Across the way, Golden Horseshoe will have colorful and delicious Holiday Ice Cream Sandwiches, while Stage Door Cafe offers up an Apple Pie Funnel Cake which is topped with caramel sauce, streusel and whipped cream.
Speaking of funnel cakes, you can get a Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Funnel Cake at Hungry Bear Restaurant or a cinnamon-y good Snickerdoodle Cold Brew coffee. (Gimme!)
Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew is available at the Harbor Galley for those pumpkin spice lovers and for hot chocolate fans, you might want to duck into Cafe Orleans for Hot Chocolate Beignets, served with hot chocolate sauce, mini marshmallows, and whipped cream. Fancy a minty beignet treat instead? Mint Julep Bar will once again have Candy Cane Beignets this season.
To celebrate the upcoming Frozen 2, visit the Jolly Holiday Bakery Café for an Arendelle Aqua Macaron.

Holiday Treats at Disney’s California Adventure
Head across the plaza to Disney’s California Adventure and the churro flavors continue with a Peppermint Churro near the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail (you can go say, “Hi!” to Santa). This churro is topped with vanilla and chocolate icing and sprinkled with crushed peppermint stick. In addition, there is a Milk & Cookies Churro at the Hollywood Land Churro Cart, complete with cookies & cream dipping sauce. I think this one might be a fave with Old St Nick himself. Near Goofy’s Flight School, you can pick up a delicious sounding Horchata Churro with Condensed Milk dip. If your sweet tooth is itching for classic sugar cookies, head over to the Cozy Cone Motel and grab a colorful and tasty Sugar Cookie Churro decked out in icing and colorful sprinkles.
Cotton Candy comes in flavors, did you know that? Around the park you might spot Hot Chocolate, Snowflake, or Peppermint flavored– and the Peppermint flavor is in the shape of a cute Christmas Tree!
Mortimer’s Market which offers healthier snack options, is offering up sourdough bread in tree and snowman shapes which would make adorable hostess gifts. These are also available at Boudin along with a candy cane version and you can pick up a great pull apart Christmas tree at the Pacific Wharf Cafe.
Looking for a one stop Christmas Dinner? You might be interested in trying the Holiday Dinner Pizza which features turkey, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, bacon, vegetables, and cranberry sauce all on one pie. Try this unique pizza at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta where you can also pick up the Mickey Gingerbread Cookie.
I can’t wait to hit up Schmoozies this year for a festive ice cream treat! Not sure how anyone will be able to choose from all the goodness they have on the menu, though. Peppermint Mickey Shake, Churro Shake, Peppermint Affogato with your choice of 2 different ice creams, Gingerbread Ice Cream Sandwich or an Instagram-worthy Minnie Wreath Donut??!! I’ll take one of each!
When it’s time for an adult beverage, you won’t be disappointed by visiting the Hollywood Lounge which is offering a full line up of holiday inspired drinks like a Mistletoe Mule which pairs cranberry-orange lemonade with vodka and ginger ale. In addition you can find the Wonderland Hot Chocolate, a peppermint concoction of hot chocolate, crushed peppermint, and whipped cream and a shot of Peppermint Schnapps. (non alcoholic versions too), Sleigh Ride Slush or Elf Nog too. Visit the Festival of Holiday carts for The Habanero Hibiscus Margarita. I’ve read great reviews!
If you love funnel cake, you won’t want to miss a stop at Award Wieners for their Gingerbread Funnel Cake Fries which are delicious funnel cake “fries” smothered in crumbled gingerbread, caramel sauce and glaze and topped with a healthy dose of whipped cream.
PHEW! I’ve got a LOT of eating to do when we head to Disney in December. 😉 Of course this list is far from complete, as Disney offers special events and dreams up new treats they pop up in the parks. I’ve seen fun and delicious offerings come out of Disney’s Festival of Holidays that didn’t make this list.
