Our First Live Christmas Tree from Thompson's Tree Farm

This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of OshKosh B’gosh; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

I'm pretty sure I am going to cry myself right through the holidays. I am feeling extra emo with Benjamin turning 5 this year. We spent this weekend getting into the Christmas Spiritfirst, attending our local Christmas Tree Lighting festival Saturday, then heading to Thompson's Tree Farm in Lawrenceville, to cut down our first live Christmas tree today! Benjamin has been asking for a real tree for the last couple of years now but we're never home for Christmas. Even though we'll be in St. Louis for Christmas, we decided that this was the year for our very first tree!

I have photographed families at this farm for a few years now, but have only just stopped by briefly with Benjamin. The first time we took him, he was newly one year old. In fact, these photo were taken 4 years ago, yesterday! *cue the tears* How stinkin' precious was he in his OshKosh B'gosh overalls?
Here he is this year, if you can stand it. And still rockin' OshKosh B'gosh for all our holiday adventures, of course!
Our tree found me almost immediately. It was so different than the pine trees of my childhood and the perfect height and shape. We had purchased a small metal stand, so were definitely looking for a tree on the smaller end. This was labeled as a Green Giant, and it was perfect! *swoon*
We let Benjamin get in there with the saw a little bit before the hubby cut it down. They were so proud!
After we found and cut down our tree, Benjamin wanted to check out the Amish cart. He obviously didn't remember his first visit, but it seems like yesterday to me. Can you even?
Finally, the boys pushed the tree up in the cart for it to be trimmed, netted, and put up on the car! Such an easy process. We were treated to free apple cider and I purchased a jar of homemade apple butter that I can't wait to try.
We got 'er home and set straight to decorating as we listened to Christmas tunes. I love how it turned out!
If you love OshKosh B'gosh as much as we do, you're really going to love this! 'Tis the season for awesome savings!
