What Ben Wore: Transitioning to Spring | Noreen Kidwai and Mawdsley Loves REVIEW

If I had a dollar for every time I've sat down to write this blog post in the last few days, I'd be a very rich girl, indeed! But, finally, here we are. It's just two days until Spring, if you can believe it. The weather in Atlanta this time of year can be a bit bipolar, so it's not yet time to pack away that Fall/Winter wear. I wanted to show you a couple of ways we use these cooler weather pieces in our Spring wardrobes. And by "we", I mean Benjamin.
A few months ago I was contacted by clothing designer, Noreen Kidwai, about reviewing a couple of pieces from her debut collection. When I went to her website to see her work, I became an instant fan. Such great style for little boys! She takes risks, with bold colors and a modern take on classic styles. I also loved learning that this was a designer based in the USA, whose clothing line is manufactured here with love!

When we received our package I was first impressed with the packaging and marketing materials. You can tell a lot of care went into sending me the items. Once I got past the packaging I was completely floored by the actual clothing. When I say they are nice, I mean NICE. The pieces we received are of higher quality than anything in my own closet, hands down. And yet, they're completely durable and kid friendly.
Meet the Midtown Sweater. If I could be in love with an article of clothing, this would be it. It is so, incredibly soft! The camel color looks great on most skin tones and I love the pop of orange on the cuffs and collar. One of my favorite touches is the lattice stitching on the arms. I'm sure there is another word for it, but that's what it reminds me of. I adore everything about this sweater! Benjamin is wearing size 24 months. I think it's pretty true to size but maybe just a little bit on the larger side. I'm glad though, because it means he'll be wearing it this Spring and again in the Fall.

The second piece we received were the Look At Me Persimmon Pants. I'm not going to lie. When I first saw these pants I thought, "What in the world am I going to do with orange pants?!" I was honestly skeptical about how this color would look on Benjamin's skin. As you can see, I had nothing to fear! I adore these pants on him! So very dapper. They even have their own pair of braces, just like his Daddy's! Again the quality - top notch! All the way down to the leather signature above the back pocket. I love these pants! They're a great fit, too. If you're not quite sure about such a bold color, the same style pants can be found in Eggplant and Biscuit (khaki) as well. I would recommend these as a staple in any little boy's wardrobe!

Be sure to check out the entire collection on the website and stay tuned for the new Spring collection, coming in April!
Just around the same time Noreen and I connected, I started corresponding with Bonnie of MawdsleyLoves. MawdsleyLoves is based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada, and carries "awesome accessories for stylish littles". Everything from cool graphic tees and bibs, to shoes. I was so excited to receive our favorite pair on the website, Mawdsley Faux Lace Bootie with Leather Sole. I liked that these were different than any booties he's ever owned. The style is much like a "regular" shoe, and yet they're still soft and flexible. The leather sole means they'll be more durable in his rough 'n tumble play. The hidden elastic makes them easy to put on and take off, but they're not so loose that they're falling off when he walks. This particular pair are a wee bit big on him still, but I imagine they'll be just right by Summer. Also, he isn't wearing any socks with them in the photos and in hindsight I think they would look more "filled out" if he were. I love the fabric, especially the neutral color, and I think it they'll look great with just about anything! Also, have you seen their new products for Spring?! Can I please have a girl so she can have these!!??
