Thoughts on Blogging

Well, hello there, friend. It's been a while since I last blogged -- over two months to be specific. As you can see, I am alive and well. If you follow me on social media (which you probably do), you know that I frequently update my Instagram and Facebook accounts. So, why haven't I been blogging?

Did you guys know that I celebrated TEN YEARS of blogging on Thanksgiving of last year? Ten years. That's a pretty long run. It's been one of the best experiences of my life -- an amazing outlet for me to connect with people, especially through my son's first year of life. Then, life just kept getting busier, my priorities shifted, and it wasn't as fun for me as it used to be. I told many friends, going into this new year, that I was done with blogging. It was just too much and wasn't in line with everything else I was doing in my life.

Some time has past and I've spent a lot of it reconsidering this space. I miss the people and connections I was making. I miss having an avenue to share our family happenings and to keep a virtual scrapbook, of sorts, that we could look back on. So, I've decided to give myself a bit of a blank slate, and start again. I need to get back to the basics of journaling and sharing more. I can't beat myself up or feel disappointed about not sharing every little thing, but just do what I can.

Here I am. I'm excited to be here!
