Recently Teryn and I hosted our first Swap for Tots. We were each paired up and asked to send packages to each others' little ones with the theme "colors". Benjamin and I got paired up with Josiah and his mommy. Elizabeth is a photographer in New York and you can see all her gorgeous photos on her Instagram feed, @elizabethmadia. We decided to put together a "rainbow" package for Josiah and here's what we sent:
I really enjoyed making these activities for him! The first was a color matching activity:
We included colored chalk for the board.
Lastly, was this felt color wheel for more color-matching with clothespins. It's great for practicing colors but also for gross motor skills development (strengthening little hands and fingers). I'm currently making 10 more of these for a busy bag swap I'm hosting later this month!
Elizabeth sent me these incredibly sweet photos of Josiah with his new goodies:Here are photos of Benjamin receiving his awesome package from Josiah: (Please excuse the grain.. the lighting wasn't great.)
Benjamin was so excited to take everything out of the package. It was so generous and incredibly thoughtful. I especially loved the handmade paint chip flash cards and "My First Colors" book!
This was such a fun swap! I've enjoyed looking at everyone's goodies on Instagram under the hashtag #swapfortots_colors. I'm already looking forward to the next one!
