New Nail Polish for Spring by Jill

When lurking nail trends, honestly, I wasn't that pleased with what I found. All the geometric nail art and 3D decals on stiletto claws is fun and all, but not the most practical. So instead I picked a few polishes to transition into spring with based on other trends that I wish I could pull off.
1. Because I wish I had lilac hair.
I'm in love with this Inglot cosmetics polish #238 because is satisfies my need for grey/lilac in my life. Long center parted pastel hair might not be realistic for you but this polish is a more subtle way to embrace the trend.
2. Because everyone's obsessed with Radiant Orchid.
I still don't get why everyone embraces Pantone's color of the year so much. Last year's color was emerald, and I don't remember wearing emerald ever. But, if you want an affordable way to have fun with this color, nail polish is a safer choice than going out and investing in a radiant orchid leather purse. Butter London's Brummie is a great purple. I also love their shade Scoundrel.
3. Because you want to creep all your friends out by constantly smelling your hands.
Ok. Seriously this stuff smells so yummy. And it's the perfect, goes with everything, warm silver, metallic polish. Smart. Clean looking. And smells like candy. Great work Revlon.
4. Because mermaids are everything.
When I feel like getting a healthy dose of self loathing, I just look at photos of gorgeous young tan girls with long mermaid wavy hair on tumblr. Boo hoo! I'm so old you guys. But then I put Mermaid Tale by Deborah Lippmann on my toes and suddenly I feel super cute and sexy hot again.
5. Because Alexander Wang.
Butter London Nail Foundation is actually a base coat that has a semi matte finish. With two layers it's just like face foundation, evens out the tone and is peachy/skin like. It makes you feel like a super modern minimalist or like a Calvin Klein model circa 1992. Yusss. A short clean buffed nail never goes out of style.
