InkSpot Workshop Creative Coordinator

Last month I wrote that I would soon be collaborating with a company called InkSpot Workshop and am really excited to finally share more about that today! Quick funny story on how everything came about; it really was one of those "meant to be" type of things if you ask me. In late August, Stacy Altiery, designer and imagination behind the brands InkSpot Workshop and Fire Hydrant Press, contacted me through my Facebook page about taking her family photos this Fall. Then, in early September, a friend of mine through the mom's group I'm in, forwarded me an email from someone looking for an assistant. She prefaced her email forward with, "No idea if you have any more time/interest in another work at home job, but my friend just sent this to me and it sounds right up your alley." Truer words never spoken. It turns out that email was from none other than Stacy of InkSpot Workshop! I immediately responded and the rest is history, as they say.

I was so excited when Stacy hired me [Joleen Pete Photography] to shoot her Holiday 2013 product line! Last week we styled and photographed product over the course of two days. It was the first time I had a commercial client who was actually with me, in person, during a shoot! Neither of us had anticipated needing a second day to shoot and so our "studio" also dubbed as a daycare to both our baby boys. Ha! That was fun. Nonetheless, it was very productive and I'm so proud of the images we produced! Her products are SO cute and unique. You're going to love them! Here are just a few:
Not only did Stacy hire me as her photographer but I am officially "Creative Coordinator" for InkSpot Workshop! I couldn't be more excited! Stacy and I work really well together and it's so great to work in an environment where we both can encourage and motivate one another. I love getting to know and support other "momtrepreneurs" and I think this is going to be a wonderful collaboration! So what exactly is InkSpot Workshop? I'll let Stacy tell you:
"I began my little online shop in 2008, as my obsession with paper, color, graphics, and patterns continued to grow. In 2013 I became a member of the "pink slippers" club and this part time graphic design artist / full time medical device sales rep had her dream come true. I now have the BEST full time job ever! I get to spend my days helping busy women and moms look good. Let's face it, not everyone has the time or desire to tinker around with DIY parties and gifts. At InkSpot Workshop we do all the work so you don't have to. Regardless of how small or large your shin dig is, our customers rave about our complete party collections, where you can have everything from the invitation to the party banner made custom just for you and delivered straight to your mailbox. Likewise, dog lovers unite in cheers when they receive a personalized dog breed silhouette gift from Fire Hydrant Press, exclusive to InkSpot Workshop.

All operations are run from my home in Atlanta, Georgia. When I'm not in my workshop I'm hanging out with my 2 boys, husband and moose of a dog named Winston, who is also the muse behind Fire Hydrant Press. You might also find me at the beach or fantasizing about having a food truck, cooking or trying out a trendy new restaurant. It's safe to say my other obsession is FOOD. See? You're dealing with a real person when you experience InkSpot Workshop.
